COMPANY HISTORY

Barclays Group International, Inc. was established in Florida in 1989 by Robert Wyner, Chairman of the Board (Biography) in conjunction with his establishing Barclays International Realty through the acquisition of Coldwell Bankers operations in Palm Beach. In 1990 the office building at 249 Peruvian Avenue was purchased and renamed The Barclays Building. Since 1981 with investment partners Vice Chairman, Iraj Amir Motazedi (Biography) and President, Wayne Gerl (Biography) Mr. Wyner and partners invested and constructed commercial properties nationally and internationally with Barclays Group International being Incorporated in 1993 in Tunis, Tunisia. Mr. Gerl has over 60 years of infrastructure and construction in 8 States in the USA by Gerl Construction. Mr. Motazedi has over 75 years of history in cement plants, power plants and housing industry in The Middle East by Mohamadieh Industrial Company founded in 1954, Elahieh Residential Companies founded in 1974, Bamsaz Construction Company founded in 1973 and Komeh Residential Company founded in 1990 In 2003 Mr. Motazedi and Mr. Gerl merged their firms, Gedi Construction and Gerl Construction into Barclays Group International In 2005, with David Pinto (Biography) being named Executive Vice President and Partner. Kamal Ahmad (Biography) as Sr. Vice President of Barclays Group Arabia brings to our Group a strong background in Corporate Management and together with International Managing Partner’s Chedli Amous (Biography) in Tunisia, Partners Ali and Audi Daou (Biography) and Partner Abdul Hameed AL-Naama (Biography) in Qatar, Partner Abdulrahman AL-Amoudi (Biography) in Saudi Arabia, work together to perpetuate Barclays Group International operations. Commercial Real Estate on a world wide basis offering advantageous investments tailored to meet the criteria of our clientele is directed by Gregory Weadock (Biography) President of Barclays Real-Estate Group.
